First, this was my house over a month ago. Since this picture was taken, the house has been set down on its foundation, the shutters have been removed, the window frames have been sanded and the broken panes replaced, plastic has been put down in the crawl-space, and water has been trenched back the 500 feet or so to where our house sits. We don't have running water IN the house yet, but we have a working hydrant just outside our front door, which we find very exciting. We will be working on re-wiring the house this upcoming week and prepping it for painting.

Karin spent her spring break with us. It was a wonderful time. We colored each others' hair, visited the Indian Caves, ate great food, went on long desert drives, hot-tubbed, star-gazed, and a whole lot more. I love my little sister. She and Kristen are the very best sort of friends. I'm plotting to marry Karin off to my brother-in-law so there'll be a chance of her someday living with me in Lovelock.

We made a trip to Ogden to get all of our earthly belongings out of my parents' basement, where it has been languishing for the past few years. Looking through it all since has been a mixed bag. Some things I am overjoyed to see again after so much time apart. Others I'm like, "What the heck do we still have this for? This is crap." Oh well. Life.
One wonderful blessing from this trip was getting to spend so much quality time with my siblings. We really enjoy being together. I am grateful especially to have gotten to see Kristen and her children before their move to Michigan. Most likely I'll never see her again. Just kidding, but you know what I mean.

Last month I flew from Reno to Las Vegas with the boys. My parents picked us up and drove us to St. George, and we spent 10 lovely days swimming, hiking, going to the temple, shopping, eating, and watching shows. My parents are truly the best on the planet. I love and admire them so much.

Last week my sister-in-law Lydia was sealed to her new husband, Tim. I was asked to take the pictures, which I thought was pretty cool. It was my second wedding as amateur photographer. It is really wonderful to be given the opportunity to learn and gain experience in a low-stress situation.

That covers the big stuff. Hopefully I'll be a little better from now on. Probably not though.

I love you little stinkerkins. And Mike would actually probably think life was way more awesome if we had no indoor water and only a hydrant outside. He would love if I would churn butter and make cheese too. Sigh.
Love you madly, Mashers--truly one of my very best and favorite friends! I think I will get back into my blogging as a way to keep any who wants to be posted on our new life in Michigan. Sure hope you get all settled soon. I LOVE that picture of Mom and Dad with your boys! That needs to be part of their wall collage.
Love love love. Love love love. Too tired for anything more. Just love love love.
