In the Heat of the Night
I'd like to know how normal this is. Does anyone else have a husband who comes on to them in the middle of the night and basically has no recollection of doing so in the morning? This happens quite frequently to me. Last night was especially crazy. At one point I woke to Hiram passionately kissing my face. Before thinking, I started kissing him back, then realized I was supposed to be sleeping--that I had in fact been sleeping--and disengaged. I had to push Hiram's head down on his pillow a couple times telling him, "Go to bed," and had to ward off several more advances before he finally left me alone. At one point I even considered moving to the couch. =) He asked me this morning if we had had a fight in the middle of the night. I had to fill him in on his frisky behavior and my rejections. It turns out he had had a dream in which he rescued me from a fire. I guess the danger plus the damsel in distress got him all hot and bothered. So, is it just my spouse?

Hah! That is awesome. And I love that you put it here! You could blow some trumpets and drop a boulder on Mike's head in the night and he wouldn't so much as bat an eye, so no . . . no mid-night passion here. Though, perhaps I wish my husband was so unable to resist me that even sound asleep he couldn't leave me well enough alone. Also I wish he woke up sometimes when our kids were being terrible at night. Maybe I'd just take that.
I tried to comment on this from my phone but apparently I can't and it erased the whole thing which took so long to write...anyway...this made me laugh really hard. And I'm afraid that any of that kind of tom foolery only lasted til after Addie. Jason has now trained himself not to move a muscle all night long. If he tried to get frisky he knows I'd just yell, "Oh, now you're UP??? Go check on that screaming baby!!!"
Nice, Mashers. And I am most definitely in the same boat with you--AND it irks me that Ben doesn't even remember in the morning! :D
